Active in London since 1978, the Junior League of London, the Junior League of London works to build better communities by improving the lives of local families in need. During our 30+ year history in London, the JLL has delivered hundreds of thousands of hours of community service and contributed over a million pounds towards volunteer training initiatives and towards direct support for the London community.
In 2008, we adopted our current community focus of poverty. Over the next several years, the JLL will work towards its vision of eliminating poverty and its effects in London, concentrating on breaking the cycle of poverty through education and employment. This year, the JLL will make a difference in London by:
• Investing over 20,000 hours of volunteer service and over £50,000 directly into the community • Touching the lives of over 3,500 Londoners in need through our community programmes • Providing 2,000 hours of training opportunities valued at £25,000 to our members to train tomorrow’s generation of civic leaders Please click here for further information about our community programmes.
