Annual Fund

Thank you for your interest in contributing to our 2014-15 annual fund and to those who contributed to our annual fund!

The opportunity: Our organisation of over 400 women provides the London community with over 20,000 hours of volunteer service each year, helping to deliver our vision of a London where every person has the opportunity and the means to prosper. This is an inspirational goal and if you are a member, one that you have probably already contributed to through volunteering your time and energy. For this, we say thank you. Without you and your continued support of the Junior League, we would be unable to reach our goals!

We now invite you to help us make a deeper impact on the London community and keep our organisation running smoothly and efficiently by contributing to our 2014-15 annual fund.

The need: London may be the richest part of the UK, but it is also home to the highest number of Britons living in poverty. With unemployment levels rising and austerity measures coming into effect, we all know our work in the London community has never been more important. As you consider making your contribution to the annual fund this year, imagine what it must feel like for the one third of Londoners who struggle to keep a roof over their family’s head and enough food on the table and think about what more we can do as a League to end the vicious cycle of poverty in our own backyard.

How you can help: Each of our incoming board members has already pledged to contribute to the Annual Fund, and we ask members of the league and the public to consider making a contribution at a level that feels appropriate for your financial situation.

For some women, this will be:
£25 which could help us sponsor a child living in one of the country’s most deprived wards to receive one book per month over the next year
£100 which could fund a speaker to help us develop our leadership skills or £125 to sponsor the child to receive books until his/her 5th birthday
For others, it will be a more transformative gift, such as:

£500, which would fund hampers for new mums at Centrepoint
£1,000, which could fund the entire All-JLL Service Day or train our new member class next year.
£1,500 which could train our new member classes next year.

Make Your Gift Go Further: In making any donation to the JLL, we ask you to remember corporate matching and GiftAid. These are easy ways to make your Annual Fund and other contributions go further.

Questions? Suggestions? If you would like to discuss these and other ways you can contribute to the Junior League this year, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the office at jrleague@jll.org.uk or by phone on +44 (0)20 7250 8104.
