RESTART Lives are are a small, London-based charity whose objective is to support homeless people to overcome the challenges of life ‘on the streets’.

Their staff and volunteers assist guests in securing accommodation, finding employment, improving social relationships, mental health and well-being, and developing the confidence and readiness to return to independent living.

We are absolutely chuffed to have read what was included:

‘When the pandemic first hit, Junior League quickly stepped up to the mark and offered RESTART guests their ready-made care packages of toiletries and essentials, to support those who had been temporarily placed into hostel or hotel accommodation.

Soon after, JL supported us with the unexpected costs of PPE equipment (from face masks, visors, gloves and screens, to takeaway packaging and hand sanitiser) for the drop-in, allowing us to provide a safe environment to guests and be one of the first homelessness charities in West London to reopen their doors during Covid-19.

Other incredible JL donations beyond our reach have included: IT equipment for guests to use for employment support (now being made use of weekly at our Kickstart sessions), a batch of portable powerbanks chargers, office supplies and mobile phones for guests.

JL has helped us all the way and their unwavering support has made a huge difference to RESTART over the past two years.

We love working with RESTART and look forward to continuing our partnership in a post-pandemic world.
