Volunteer Story: Hestia
Hestia, one of the Junior League of London’s Community partners, provides support and refuge for women who have experienced domestic violence and modern slavery.
JLL “adopted” Hestia refugees in Ealing and Harrow and worked with staff to send personalised gifts to keep the kids there occupied during lockdown. Often, the women and children have had to leave behind everything they know to find safety. As you can imagine, this becomes even more isolating during a pandemic, so it’s really valuable for them to know someone is thinking about them.
We’re grateful that we can support these women and children during these critical times!
