Members of the Month for May

Congratulations to our May Members of the Month – Stacie Styles & Diana Webster! Stacie and Diana were nominated by numerous members for their continued involvement in the JLL despite not serving on a committee. They are wonderful JLL ambassadors and illustrate that you do not have to be on a committee to be involved and make a difference in the JLL. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Committee of the Year – Boutique de Noel

The Boutique de Noel (BdN) Committee pulled off a fantastic event. Each committee member put in a ton of effort to ensure the event was a success.

This committee demonstrated teamwork and determination despite many changes to the event this year. Their collaborative spirit in the final four weeks leading up to BdN was an inspiration to everyone around them. They met each challenge head-on with original ideas and a can-do spirit. Thank you for all of your hard work! You all pulled off a successful event!

Leader of the Year (Lynn Begany, Communications Director)

Lynn Begany revolutionized the Communications Director role this year. Despite being equipped with a small team and no resources, Lynn’s passion for communicating the mission of the JLL was never compromised. She brought integrity and a professional work ethic to the role each and every day. Regardless of the size of the task Lynn brought thoughtful solutions to the table, time and time again. Lynn handled difficult and stressful relationships with style and grace. She also brokered high level press relationships for the JLL in support of a critical JLL fundraiser. She was not just a vessel to transmit the messages of the JLL, she was a strategic partner for chairs and council VPs. Thank you for your leadership Lynn!

Volunteer of the Year (Meg Grogan, Holiday Hampers Co-Chair)

Meg Grogan exemplifies Volunteer of the Year. She continually contributes to projects across all councils, and makes a positive impact on everything she touches.  She continually works to make things better. Meg not only enthusiastically communicates her ideas, she also listens to others, collaborates, and champions the objectives that have been agreed to by the group. Meg embodies integrity and loves the Junior League of London. Thank you for all of your hard work this year!

Sustainer of the Year (Jennifer Crowl)

Jennifer joined the Junior League of New York in Spring 2002 before being transferred to London in 2003.  Jennifer has held multiple leadership positions in the JLL including:

• Community Research Director
• Boutique de Noel Vice Chair
• Boutique de Noel Chair
• Active-at-Large
• Fund Development Vice President
• Placement Advisor
• Membership Vice President
• President

She has been named Active/Volunteer of the Year and also served on the POLL (Presidents of Large Leagues) Nominating Committee for a year and chaired the committee for a year.

This year, she has been a constant source of support and encouragement. Her continued service and dedication to the JLL is admirable and we are so lucky to have her as one of our members. Thank you for all you do for the JLL!
