Past Events

Each year, the Junior League of London (JLL) raises money for its work to break the cycle of poverty in London through fundraising events. These fundraisers are an integral part in fulfilling our annual goals. All proceeds from JLL fundraisers support our mission, including our many important community programmes and volunteer training initiatives.

2015 Events

£30k for 30 Years Campaign: The 2014-15 League year marked the 30th anniversary of the Junior League of London. For the last three decades, the League has made a tremendous impact, serving the London community and developing the potential of our members.

We marked this special occasion by planning an ambitious and exciting anniversary fundraising campaign. With a goal of raising £30,000 for our work, the “30 for 30” celebrated the legacy of the Junior League of London as we set our sights on the next 30 years.

2014 Events

We held a great series of 2014 Events. In February, we launched our first Little Black Dress Initiative. In April, we hosted a Masquerade Charity Ball, then in May we held a LK Bennett Shopping Night.

2013 Events

In January 2013, members of the Junior League of London kicked off the new year by getting in shape at private workout class at Barry’s Bootcamp. Shane, our celebrity trainer made sure that everyone got a healthy glow and an amazing workout!

Chic Chocholic Afternoon Tea
On the 25 and 28 of September, the JLL hosted a Chic Chocholic Afternoon Tea at Flemings Hotel. It was an opportunity to bond with friends over quintessentially English tradition with a contemporary twist! Guests enjoyed a glass of Jacquart pink champagne and indulged in a selection of freshly made sandwiches, chocolate chip scones, delicious chocolate petit fours and chocolate-dipped strawberries to finish. Thank you to Flemings Hotel for hosting this fabulous event.

Family Friendly Lunch and a Movie … with a Halloween Twist
Just in time for Halloween, JLL hosted a family friendly screening of the Disney animated comedy hit Planes on the 19th of October. The screening took place at Gate Picturehouse in Notting Hill. The guests were treated to Halloween themed games and lunch at Pizza Express. Fabulous goodie bag filled with everyone’s favourite American confection were on hand! Fun was had by kids of all ages! A big thank you to Pizza Express for hosting us!

Wine Tasting with a Master Sommelier at the Stafford London Hotel
The Junior League of London hosted a sold out private wine tasting in the wine cellar of the Stafford London Hotel, a five star luxury hotel. A master sommelier personally picked six wines and canapés for our guests to taste, gave a history of the cellars and described all of the wines. Everyone had a fabulous time! We are absolutely grateful to the Stafford Hotel especially Victoria Hoole and Gino Nardella for hosting such a spectacular night.
